TEPL Principal to Take Part in WRAP Debate Panel

Stuart Watcham has been asked to add his voice to a panel debate on grant-funding programme that has successfully helped develop Wales's resource management sector.

The debate will discuss the Accelerating Reprocessing Infrastructure Development (ARID) programme and is to be held on 24th February in Merthyr Tydfil.  It will bring together Wales' leading experts in resource management, along with representatives of the Welsh Government and regulators, to review the ARID programme and explore the next steps in making sure that Wales continues to progress towards zero waste and a closed-loop economy.  The panel debate will be followed by an audience Q&A session.

Commenting, Dr Watcham said:

"ARID has made a significant difference to the resource management sector in Wales, dramatically reducing the amount of waste that is landfilled while avoiding carbon emissions and creating a significant number of new jobs.

At TBSL we have worked alongside many businesses who have benefitted from ARID support.  I am looking forward to the debate, talking about what worked in the programme and lessons learnt, and of course taking on the tough question of where does resource management in Wales go next?"
