Planning Consent to Extend Recycling Facility and Install New Processing Equipment

We are pleased to announce that we have secured planning consent for Williams a Williams Cyf to extend their recycling facility at Y Ffôr on the LlÅ·n Peninsula in Gwynedd, North Wales. The consent allows the company to increase the area used for the processing and storage of recyclable materials, and includes the installation of new sorting equipment to enable the company to further increase its already exemplary recycling rates.

As a Major development we undertook a formal Pre-Application Consultation process in accordance with the Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (Wales) Order 2012 whereby we engaged extensively with neighbours, local representatives and technical consultees to develop the proposal prior to its submission to Gwynedd Council. A detailed Noise Assessment, Flood Consequence Assessment, Welsh Language Statement, Protected Species and Habitat Survey, Landscaping Proposals, Waste Planning Statement and Pre-Application Consultation Report accompanied the statutory application documents.

After due consideration of the planning and technical information, the Local Authority were satisfied that the development would not result in any unacceptable impacts on the amenity of nearby residents or on the local environment and planning consent was granted under delegated powers. We would like to thank the Officers involved for the diligent and expedient way in which they considered this application.
